Bidding Details

Sealed bids must be received by the Office of the Clerk Treasurer, Attention: Liz Modesto, 6070 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368, until 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024.  Thereafter, sealed bids will be received by the Recording Secretary, City Hall Council Chambers, 6070 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana, prior to bid opening, until 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 11th 2024.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the meeting of the City of Portage Board of Public Works and Safety on June 11th, 2024 at 10:00 am for the following:

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid payable to the City of Portage Board of Public Works and Safety as security for execution of the contract under the terms embodied in the Contract Documents.

The City of Portage Board of Public Works and Safety, in accordance with Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of religion, race, color, national origin, sex sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability/handicap, and/or low income in consideration for an award.
